What is Camtasia 2018 for?

Camtasia Studio is the video recording and editing program that I use to record and edit (worth the redundancy) the videos that you can see on my blog and on my Youtube channel.

In the video that you have this post you will see how to record with this program, what types of video you can create and then some basic editing options of Camtasia.

It is not a “thorough course” of Camtasia Studio or much less, just show you what I do with my videos and how it works.

Payment program with 30 trial days

Go ahead that Camtasia Studio is a paid program, although the good thing is that you can try it for free.

Do not tell me why, but for Windows it’s € 282 and for Mac “only € 93. But hey, this depends on each and your pocket, or rather the true performance and profitability that you can get to your videos.

As I said, they let you try the program for 30 days, which is very good so you can put into practice what you will see in the video.

How to record and edit videos with Camtasia

IMPORTANT NOTE: At the end of the video, I forgot to add that once you have it edited to your liking, to save it is not typical of “Save as …“, but you have to do in the option above that says “Produce & Share “, and there you can give a name and tell where to store it. Sorry.

Types of video that you can create with Camtasia

When you import a video to Camtasia that you have recorded with the program, it asks you at what resolution you want it.

Keep in mind, especially if videotutoriales that record the screen, it is important that the user can see the texts and everything.

For this, it is best to put it for HD (High Definition) at 1280x720p. This is the resolution I recommend for Google.

To upload your video to YouTube, you must have your own channel and previously your Google account (we saw it yesterday), so directly with our session started we will see the option to the right of the search engine.

There you already indicate what video you want to upload and I recommend you take into account at least this for SEO:

• Put your keyword in the title of the video.
• Put the link to your post or your blog at the beginning of the description.
• Insert your keyword within the description in a descriptive paragraph.
• Enter labels, your keyword and other related.
• If you add a thematic playlist, you embroider it.

Then when you have the video on YouTube, it will open by default at 360p, it is up to the user to give the wheel and change the resolution if it does not look good.

Another technique that I recommend, is to put on top of the video (if you’re putting it in a post) a link so you can see it on YouTube, type “See bigger on YouTube”.
